I am often teased about the unnecessary (and seemingly unlikely) number of “favorites” I have. (I imagine a tape recorder would be useful in curbing the habit.) So, in order to pack some punch into the following, I have only three “favorites” from this year’s Spring New York Fashion Week. This, of course, is not to say that I didn’t truly love many things in many lines, but, these three fostered my decided affection. I’ll feature each in turn so as to distinguish the lines, and you guys can see if you agree with my choices.
Just a few observations from the week….strappy heels, especially, strappy platforms are in for spring. They were part of most collections. Asymmetry—embraced in lengths of hemlines, as well as detailing—is also found in most every line. Also, many lines, considering the springtime, had such fabulous POPS of color. The coral lipstick, for instance, of Diane Von Furstenburg models. So fun.
Below, is Lincoln Center—this year’s new home for the concluded Fashion Week…
