Favorite No. 2: Jason Wu

Jason Wu’s Spring 2011 collection combines many of the trends we have discussed—detailing,JASON-WU-SPRING-2011-RTW-PODIUM-039_runway pops of color, and strappy chunky heels.  The show debuted Wu’s new shoe and bag collection, as well as the new logo.  “Miss Wu” was introduced as the designer’s new insignia, the designer explained, "It's a very  fashion thing to do to stay up all night, just like Miss Wu."

I am with enamored with the bows, flowers, and variety of fabrics included in this collection.  The short suits are wearable--flattering tailored shorts and classic long jackets.  There were interesting juxtapositions of light, airy fabrics with heavier tweeds—a  coupling of  feminine pieces with the more masculine.  Wide legged trousers were paired with shear, delicate tops for a refined youthful ness.
