We will have to discuss all that went down for fashion week, but, first, I have to share Models Off the Runway: New York from Vogue with you. A photographer from Vogue took to the streets to capture (in a Sartorialist-like manner) models out-and-about in everyday life. I found the slideshow interesting for a couple reasons. No. 1: Confidence. These girls have nurtured their design sense and are standing by it. And, although some are, at best, quirky, they are modeling confidence. No. 2: Neutrals. Some of the most radical of the outfits sported by these models are toned down by their color choices. With a few exceptions, the girls are wearing black on black, army green, crème, and khaki. Accessorizing becomes more entertaining when you stick with the neutrals—they stand out and you mitigate the risk of looking like you came straight out of the 80’s with a matching belt, bag, and pumps! Oh, and the unofficial No. 3—these girls are gorgeous—their skin…sigh.
