Working on an otherwise blank wall in my place. Such blank walls are quickly vanishing; not sure this is a good thing. Doing a collage, heavy on the matting, of my black and whites of Paris. I vacillate, depending on the subject, between strong stances of opinion and indecision. I’m in a stance of indecision. I need to choose 4-6 of the following to frame. Any favorites? I could use some help in narrowing the field. I know, I need a lot of narrowing.

We are only limited…
We are only limited by our ability to imagine and execute. But it does require study and observation. You look, you think, you observe, you practice. Anyone can teach herself to paint. Anyone can teach herself to sew.
-Kelee Katillac
Katillac’s home, which was recently featured in House Beautiful, is stunning, down to the last detail. Its interesting to review her online portfolio; all her interiors are different. The same, however, are the threads of attention to detail and color. Some of her work is below—check out her portfolio.

If you don’t find him handsome…
If my dad has said it once, he has said it 100x’s: “If you don’t find him handsome, find him handy.” He was, in fact, found handy (and perhaps handsome, as well) in my recent mini makeover of my bedroom. My mom and I need to merely begin a project which involves paint to quickly retain (without any solicitation) my dad’s involvement. This is particularly handy in view of my father’s attention to detail and adept facility with the paint brush.
The inspiration for the mini makeover was a inexpensive West Elm duvet cover and a set of mirrors passed along by my sister. I wanted soft antique touches, with a pop of modern color and print (hence the high lacquer poppy red and wide stripe). Makeovers are such fun (and, quite common, at my place). Now, I’m working on my office. Stay tuned.
